Regarding the Apostolic Reformation, Peter Wagner of Global Harvest Ministries says that "new forms and operational procedures began to emerge in areas such as local church government, interchurch relationships, financing, evangelism, missions, prayer, leadership selection, training...."

In this Apostolic Reformation I believe that there is a revelation coming regarding the characteristics of our God as "Lord of the hosts."  As thatmoveasoneman2.jpg (46771 bytes) revelation comes we'll begin  to realize what some of the characteristics of a military leader are.  The military has taught professional officers about the basic principles of warfare over the last 2500 years.  Principles such as the principle of:

Surprise

We learned these things and studied old wars because "strategies never change, only the weapons change."  These are the principles upon which officers learn to administrate war.

Please note that all references to war, warfare, battle etc. are referring to spiritual warfare.  We must not confuse battle against demonic forces with people.  We must demonstrate our love towards people just like Jesus did as well as pray and act as He did.

For generals and admirals to administrate war they have to think strategically.  They have to think long term, they have to think in terms of communication and supply.  They are responsible coordinating large groups of men and material in order to wage a campaign.

moveasoneman1.jpg (38301 bytes)To get that many people working together requires a great amount of training and discipline all through the ranks.  All soldiers and sailors have to learn about authority, respect, loyalty and teamwork.  They learn how to obey commands, they learn how to function together as a team.

One of the functions that must be filled on every staff is that of an operations officer.  They assist in the administration of men and material in the conduct of that war.  The senior officers and their staff, administrate war.  They are stewards of their respective armies or units.

In this Apostolic Reformation I expect to see a greater understanding and appreciation come forth in the area of stewardship and administration of money, peoples gifts, talents, time, and technology.  I also expect to see a greater understanding of discipline, authority and servant leadership.

Operational tools is intended to provide you with practical examples, tools, policies, procedures and articles that will assist and encourage any organization to improve teamwork and their effectiveness.  I expect the church to develop the characteristics of of an army in this generation.

Song 6:4
4 O my love, you are as beautiful as Tirzah,
Lovely as Jerusalem,
Awesome as an army with banners!

Song 6:10
10 Who is she who looks forth as the morning,
Fair as the moon,
Clear as the sun,
Awesome as an army with banners?
NKJV

Who else but a general would think that army is beautiful or would compare the woman who is the center of his affection to an army?  Will the Lord of hosts look upon the church today with such affection?  I believe so and to that end we work.

Eph 4:11-16
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ-- 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

Tim Taylor

The apostolic reformation will see apostles, prophets, and the fivefold ministry working together like never before, building a wall of prayer and restoring the Tabernacle of David.  EncourageU and CONECT are for the equipping of the saints and to facilitate corporate teamwork in the Body of Christ.  All scripture quotations, not otherwise indicated are from the New King James Version: Copyright © 1982 by Thomas Nelson, Inc.
